Mariss, appliances are great! Now what about some Application Notes?

1) How do I build a really simply circuit (around a 555 timer
maybe?) to interface with a Gecko Drive so I can do
forward/reverse/stop and speed potentiometer? Using this I can do
simple leadscrew feed or cross feed with steppers and Geckos. This
one seems like would also be useful to test steppers. I just bought
5 on eBay I'd love to fool with.

2) How can I make a Gecko drive serve 2 masters? I want to throw a
switch to govern manual control versus full CNC? Sometimes I have
my napkin and other times I have my CAD drawing or Mach Wizard?

3) What's a super simple program on the PC, maybe its Visual Basic
or Java that downloads the right magical "Ratio" incantation to a G-
Rex so I can have my e-leadscrew application?

I'm sure all of this has been done at some point with your products,
or something nearly the same. It would be great to have a
collection of application notes on your web site or the Yahoo Group
to share the wealth for those that just want a recipe and lack the
PhD in Motion Control.

I know you are very busy, but you could run a contest. Give a G201
or some such to the best 3 application notes and people would spring
out of the woodwork to get it done. The priviso would be that you
get to publish all of the other notes as well.

BTW, I'll place a copy of this post on the Gecko group. We're
starting to get rather far afield in this discussion, though it does
seem to attract people's attention.
