The quick and dirty way is you replace the calibrated dial behind the
handle with a
belt sprocket. The motor can be mounted on a bracket attached to
whatever you have
handy in the area. If nothing is available, you can drill and tap some
small holes in
the apron. After all, you have a lathe, so modifying a sprocket by
boring out the ID
should be easy.
