Hi Jon,
Good choice. I received my Pick and place machine a couple of weeks ago.
It is a Yamaha YM-84, commonly known in the USA as a Philips CSM-84.
It came with about 50 feedersas well. I've already run out of feeder slots
on the machine. It has 3 heads (0.7mm, 2mm and one about 4-5mm. It also
has a pneumatic centering station plus an upwards looking centering vision
camera. Plus a tray freeder
Ran off a handful of ModIO panels and a DigiSpeed panel over the weekend.
It's quite a fun machine to use.
One of the thinks I need to make is a number of waffle trays to hold
various components. One of them is the power inductor for the ModIO power
supply. I purchase a part reel without the reel and the tape is all
cracked up. Iplan to use some 4mm perspex to mill an array of pockets to
suit the inductor. I'll draw it up in Autocad and use sheetcam to do the
nesting array and produce the G-Code.
I've had a days training on it, and it is now productive.
Cheers,
Peter.
