The SS has bugs in the tuning setup.
I solved it by editing the xml file directly.

This will not be visible, unless you use servos on a metric system.
The problem occurs with large numbers.
My step size is about 0.1 microns or 9600 steps/mm.
It is impossible to set the right values, through the normal tuning system.
One of several annoying bugs in the SS.
Also something to do with homing, again iirc. (Been a few years).

Just like some bugs in M3 threading may not be visible, on an inch system.
The numbers are so much smaller in imperial, that they are lost in the noise.
IIRC..
The problems are with pullouts, angles, and sometimes feed/rev getting stuck on.
Iirc this is if you interrupt the threading (stop, pause or estop), it stays stuck on feed/rev.

And also something to do with waitfor .. waiting for the threading to start.
Sergey of kslilabs solved it somehow, with the centipede.

I junked the SS, and use Cslabs CSMIO, that has none of these problems, afaik.
Its expensive, but very good.
Great value for money.

OK, well that is unique to your system, and probably solvable.

 

If you are already tuned, though, it is not a priority, I bet.
