Ken,
I talked to the Moglice people about making nuts a few years back.
The answer was not to do it. Although on a small machine I can't see
any reason why not.
There was a story in a trade mag years ago about a machine repair
outfit repairing a worn out ball nut by removing the balls and lining
with Moglice. The Moclice nut was on the vertical axis of a very
large CNC horizontal boring mill. That nut was required to hold the
weight of the head plus machining forces, a fairly substantial load.
It didn't hold and resulted in mega-thousands of dollars damage when
the head free fell. Lawyer time!!!
