Put two spring loaded plates between the ball screw nut and its mount with
captive ball in small dimpled holes. Whenever the pressure exceeds a preset
amount this will allow movement, as the ball nut slips on its mount.
Remember that you will also need an external locking mechanism for security
when the business is closed. Many machines use this form of break away
coupling, properly designed you can push the device back into position and it
will automatically reset itself. Contact me off list for more details if
desired.
