That's basically what the Galil boards do. They're the workhorse computer.
I recall its also being done in some of the newer commercial cnc equipment
with dual (not parallel) processors. One does the work and Windows consumes
the other one.

It would be great if we could talk Doug Yeager into coding cncpro for this
type of remote access.
