Nice summary on the BDI and yes you sound like one
of those @#$%R^& salesman...yet it is nice to be
hyped about a product with a fantastic price. I'm
one of those guys that finds that KDE or Gnome
gets in the way but then no one has claimed lately
that I'm sane either. Twm does just fine for me
and vi is indeed vile.
BTW - Jons code for the ppmc is buried in the BDI
release so that should make things easier when the
interface gets more exposure. Paul deserves some
real credit for putting it together. One of these
days I will get around to sending you some money.
After all the pain I went thru to get a clean
compile...mostly due to some local problems with
downloading cleanly labeled versions of emc.

Hope to have a mill up and running here soon and
be able to report on the use of emc with linear
scales.
