Hello Gang,

Update on Q1 .....
The emc.ini file PERIOD is commented out...... already!
Just finnished install and am unable to get EMC to talk to printer
port!

When I take E-STOP off and select Machine on as soon as I make a move
it locaks up the computer.

Checked Kmenu/setting/information/io-ports from the desktop menu ---
There is no sign of parport ????

Have been using the /usr/local/emc/tcl/scrips/IO_Show.tcl parallel
port scanner.

Attempted:
insmod parport
insmod parport_pc io=0x3bc,0x378,0x278 irq=none,7,auto

This changes the lights on the scanner ...

Thats all the info I have at the moment.

More help requires folks!

Regards,

Steve G.
