As Tim points out set the INPUT_SCALE. Also if doing inches you need to
make sure that it is set to G20 and not G21. Do this by hitting F5 key
(MDI MODE) and typing G20 then Enter. F3 will put it back in manual mode.
As I just found out, There is a default setting in the INI file for G20/G21
but TkEMC may not read that and it defaults to G21. Most of these bugs
are supposed to be fixed in the newer version and I beleve you can
download the source and recompile it, but if you know as much linux
as I do (not much) wait for the RPM to come out and just install the
new version
