EMCO COMPACT 5 TOOL HOLDER

There are three tool slots for the tools, and three tool holes about 5/8
(metric) for tools that are long and thin, the long tools are mounted in
bushings, with set screws, and into the turret with setscrews, (make bushings
to fit). Mounted on the centerline of the lathe, boring bar etc. At the
ends of the triangles. Tool slots on the flat sides with the top edge of the
slot at the centerline of the lathe.

I think Griftek, had one for sale a while back, but they are expensive beasts
to buy, cheaper to make I think.
Mine is going to mount eventually I hope, on my PC model lathe, that I am now
converting.
By the way if working with one of these, the lathe tools can only extend out
something like 7/8 inch max, to keep from hitting the lathe as it rotates. I
have not programed the one I have with the old EMCO software, but I assume
that the cross slide that it is mounted on would first have to be completely
retracted before rotating it.
For changing the lathe bits, it would be good if there was a PIC? controlled
loading position, as the holding setscrews are on the bottom side of the
slot. And are hard to get to when tool is in cutting position.
I will try to dig it out and give your more mechanical information.
