For easy and relatively slow machines I love the Siemens LOGO unit.
Only limits 56 boolean blocks and counting max 5Hz. 23 different
funtions make it marvelous for shop use.
Now they are modular so that you might go up to 24 entranes an 20
realais
It can be programed direct or by PC
