There is a DOS emulator BUILT into Linux (at least most distributions have it).
So, you can run DOS programs while Linux is running.

There are also programs that allow you to run Windows programs under Linux
(Wine) and even run a complete other OS under Linux - That is VmWare, but
it is a bit expensive. I use it at work to run Win2K under Linux.
