You bet. Linux boot loaders are completely non-judgemental. If you can
boot it on the PC you're using you can multi-boot it using Linux.
For more info than most want to absorb there are at least three sources of
readable stuff on any distribution. For the BDI there is a copy of the
howto's. You can get at it on the cdrom. The file to point your browser
at is (on my system)
file:/mnt/cdrom/doc/LPD/HOWTO/HOWTO-INDEX/index.html
Or you can simply open the cd with an html browser and you will be
introduced to the full range of information services on it. That way you
can also watch Tux dance the funky chicken. <g>
There are two other major sources of help available -- info and man. Type
either of these into a terminal followed by the command that you want to
know more about. For example to learn more about the file lister (ls) type
man ls
info ls
When you are done with man or info you can press (q) and in one case you
have to press <return>. These are pretty stylized forms of text but with a
bit of work you can make sense of them.
