I've just done a manual to CNC Taig mill conversion

The cost worked out as so:- [ note all prices converted to US $ at
current rate.

Stepper mounts home made from a piece of scrap box section, belt
drive and pullies at $15 per axis. Three 210 oz. in steppers at
$81.00 per axis. 2.5 amp 3 axis bipolar card from Xylotex, $90 or $99
[ can't remember ]
Eight amp power transformer, didode and cap, $50.00
Mach 1 at $100 registration.
Total of $537 roughly for all brand new latest spec parts.
That should leave enough to buy Dolphin and get a decent CAM system.
