One other thing about 'higher ripple' - taken to an extreme (ie too high a
value of ripple) it can cause premature capacitor failure.

|Ripple is really a bad thing in a stereo amplifier. It's not quite as
|bad driving motors and inductive loads. While 10,000 MFD is low for
|16A it would probably work okay for 10A. Since in reality that will
|be about what your worst case draw will be, it is marginal but
|usable. It won't do harm to your Motor Drive or motors to have some
|ripple. If you can find another cap of the same size and put them in
|parallel you can double the MFD rating (and lower the ripple).
|Smaller (1000 to 3000MFD) caps across the DC at the input of the raw
|DC to each of the motor controllers (GECKO?)will help. NO BIG CAPS
