Hi Bill,
The MaxNC 10 goes for $1095, doesn't it? Bipolar steppers would be fine
(145 oz/in, or 70?), but you'll want to verify that the controller is
step/dir, I was of the impression that it was 4-phase. 4-phase is
useable, but I think you'd be happier with step/dir, as more programs
and controllers can use it.
The ballscrews sound good. I have heard complaints about the spindle
drive and speed control. Check on the MaxNC list for other users'
comments.
