Motor wire length does not matter for this.

can be set for common + or common Ground. That is by way of a jumper

power glitches? Then, the axis motors, and also the spindle, need to be on
the UPS. If you just put the computer on the UPS, then position will be
lost
and the work may be chewed up when power fails.
