Weyland. Let's just say for sake of argument that the motors are 3 volt
motors. At 80 VDC you are at 26.6 X over voltage. At 75 you are at 25X
over voltage. At the high voltage you are using the 1.6X difference is
relatively meaningless. Even if they are 4V motors which is getting sort
of high in inductance, you are look at the difference between 20X and
18.7X. Again meaningless. Cut the volts to about 50 and see if your
heating problem reduces greatly. If so than you know it is voltage
related and not the amperage.
