Mike,
Check out Vector CAD/CAM. I'm quite happy with it! Some day I'll look
at Rhino, but for my 2 1/2 D needs I don't need it. And I can see how
to develop 3D tool paths, as long as I can describe them (with dimensions)!
I looked at BobCad several years ago, took way too long to figure out
how to run a little of it.
