As a general rule, steppers can be run up to about 25 times nameplate
voltage WHEN USED with a chopper driver like the Gecko or Xylotex.

Xylotex is rated for a power supply of about 28 volts max, with 24
volts normal.

You can buy a switching power supply, 24 volts and a few amps to
handle those motors.

Building one may be more expensive as the capacitors will need to be
pretty big.
