Sorry about that-I confused your post with one I saw recently from somebody
who just needed to get a +5VDC source to use with his parallel port.
I concur with those who have said that, no matter what the actual voltage
you get out of it, a USB-to-parallel converter will not work for a CNC
machine-the timing on these things is real screwy, from what I understand.
(I would love for someone to prove me wrong on this)
Heck, it's even difficult to get a real RS-232 output from a USB-to-serial
converter(but it CAN be done).
