I've done 3 installations on different machines with Red Hat 5.1 and
newer, and all
of them went fairly well. I DID have trouble making XFree86 handle more
than
640 x 480 screen resolution on one machine, but as for the basic Linux
install, it
went quite well. I DID know exactly what hardware was in each machine,
and checked
it line by line against the supported hardware list.
