HI,

But in my experience, I have yet to have Red Hat load as a workstation
install even after multiple attempts and with different hardware
combinations. I know, this part is supposed to be easy. But if this isn't
OK, the rest of the scripting is pretty worthless.

What I don't recall seeing, or maybe I saw it but did not recognize, is a
list of the files that are needed to load rtlinux and emc. Obviously, you
need the proper files to make the hardware function. This I have done
repeatedly, but you are doomed whenever any of the other (?) files are
either not present or located in the wrong directory.

I think we need to address two issues separately: hardware, which differs
for every hardware configuration, and the rtlinux and emc stuff. If I know
what is needed, I can make sure it is there. If I blindly follow a script,
I am always at a loss whenever it doesn't work as expected, which is more
common than not, at least for me.

Thanks to all who have helped and continue to do so.
