Using a word processor is the hard way to do it. If you have complicated
contours or stuff like that then you will go mad trying to figure it out but
any cnc can be programmed using ascii. What does he want to run. Mill Lathe
or flame cutter.

We have an Amish neighbor who runs a machine tool shop.

He is seeking some sort of stand alone motion controller that could be
programed using G Code (via a word processor in ASCII).

Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas?
