Amish CNC Operators

I once worked as a machine operator in a factory
that produces cemented carbide cutting inserts. Many
old order Amish worked there. They were delivered to
and from work in vans operated by "Yankees" who do
that for a living.

I believe my brother has a friend from our school
years who works there still. I'll inquire if any of
the Amish employees have migrated to operating CNC
stuff. The sliding technology scale is different for
operating versus owning things. For example, an Amish
hired hand can operate a state of the art tractor with
GPS since it is all farm work. He just can't do it on
his own farm.
