Perhaps the Geckodrive G100 would fit the bill? Its not quite into
production yet, but will be available soon.
IIRC it will have the capability to load a program into memory and then
run in stand-alone mode without a computer.

It does not take GCode, but uses a more compact format that could
probably be written by hand if you really wanted to.
Either way you'd need some kind of computer to write the code and
transfer it to the G100 via USB (or ethernet?).
