Hi Rick,

I like these type of connectors mainly for the locking ring,
other places offer higher pin count if needed and usually cheaper.

Also able to ground the cable shielding too, due the metal construction.

I mention Radio Shack, because at 4pm on a sunday afternoon you can still get
a replacement jack if ever needed.
