Re: HTD belts vs GT2 on Bridgeport

I am just about finished with the conversion of my J head Bridgeport
to CNC. I am using HTD belts with a ratio of 2.333 to 1 on the X&Y
and 3 to 1 on the Z. My measured backlash on the belt and timing
pulley is .0002" (unfortunately I had a bad set of ballscrews which
had a backlash of .0045"). I had to bore all my pulleys to match my
motor and ballscrew shafts. I have run it as fast as 110 IPM, but
without limit switches, I slowed it down to 60 IPM for now. You can
