I happen to agree. Each of us is different and have different personalities
(most of us including good, bad and ugly parts). Over the years I have
welcomed Ballendo's advice. I may not follow all of it after due
consideration and discussions on the group, but in general, his advice has
been accurate, in depth and provided viewpoints that I would not have
otherwise been exposed to. Criticizing any of the group members, even in
jest, is possibly going to cause them unnecessary pain. I know that few if
any of you have any ill will towards B. and just take pokes from time to
time to get a rise out of him. B. is apparently an individual who values
his privacy and "space". There are guys we know locally that we can kid
around with and some we can't. It's always an issue to kid with someone we
don't know (think bar room brawl, in Brooklyn where I come from it's a good
way to get shot). B. is apparently too much of a gentleman to get into a
retaliatory argument. I think that you should only tease those who you know
well. Given B.'s wishes for privacy, the members of the group who know him
well is undoubtedly small (does not include me :-() and given his stress on
politeness, they probably would not participate in this activity.

I know this is off topic and don't think it bears any further discussion, I
just thought it was appropriate to mention the above so that newbies would
not misinterpret the banter on the group.
