I think they are called tooling plates or fixture plates, but I'm not certain.

I want to make something similar with my taig mill. But I can't, because I
don't have a decent clamping kit for it yet. I bought a kit from busybee,
and then found out the 1/2" on the package referred to the width of the
studs, not the width of the t-slot nuts. I am annoyed.
I'll probably get a clamping kit from these guys.
