Already done in Mach3. Cut arc wizard.

Virtually any other simple operation can also be performed with the
built in conversational wizards.

Also already done as a third party Mach3 application, it's included in
demonstration mode, but to use it needs to be licensed. See
http://www.newfangledsolutions.com/

The majority of people already have windows and will use an application
that runs under that rather than have to relearn Linux or install yet
another operating system.
