Using Alumilite or Smoothon 2 part RTV Silicone will easily give you a
nice mold, and is pretty gentle on your original, and you can then cast
in resin or a high strength urethane, or other materials (even
fiberglass) if you wish. You can even do a certain amount of undercuts,
etc. A complex part may, of course take a two piece or more mold.
