It must be the sign of a demented mind replying to one own post but
we now have Mariss interested in building a larger 160v servo drive
which is probably the best way to go.
However as someone else posted there are loads of older [read very
cheap ]machines out there still on type 42 stepper motors in good
condition just looking for drivers.
As this list has some very experianced people on it could we have a
definitive answer as to whether a smaller stepper drive such as the
201 could run larger motors through an amplifier stage?
