Yes, and due to the high switching frequency (50-200khz), the
magnetics/transformer are physically small, but it is
still a tranformer type isolation. I use a monster isolation transformer
when experimenting with drives for DC motors
(treadmill type and others). I'd be curious what voltages are generated
from the switchers in the servo amps.
