Scrap yards often have a PILE of these, taken off all sorts of gear that

comes in. I have a few I got out of the trash at work (we do have some
of the finest trash pickings behind the Engineering building at the
University.)

Just keep your eyes open where any industrial site is tearing something
out or down, and you may be able to grab a few out of the dumpster.

Any place that deals in used industrial machinery and related equipment.

And, this can be anything from industrial dishwashers to wrecking old
canning lines and similar manufacturing equipment. Just ask if they
have
some old control transformers.
