Funny you should mention that. Just yesterday I finally ordered an edge
finder (the $18 Starrett), and I saw the LED "electronic" types.
Interesting. But as I recall, too big for my little Sherline mill. If
the part is bolted to the bed (grounded), you will have to insulate the
end of drill rod (in the collet), to establish the rod to part contact
as a "switch". Could be that simple. Let us know what you come up
with!
