Ian,
Kinda what I was thinking, I mentioned the "bomb sight" used on
plotters, that and your binocular prism. I looked at my bomb sight last
night; it has a circle and a dot in the center. I had to be right on
top of it to see anything. Will explore more.
I couldn't find my MSC catalog, and I couldn't find "optical edge
finders" in the other catalog's I have (limited selection).
About the ear-muffs, I use a pair of headphones, and listen to CD's or
the TV when it gets noisy!
