Alan,

To use a pointed wiggler, with the spindle turning, you true up the very
point by gently bringing it to center with something like a pin or a
lathe tool blank. Push a bit too far, it'll jump out again. You want to
be touching right at the tip or very close to it. Using something flat,
hold it about 45 degrees or so. Once it's running true, you can eyeball
the spindle over a scribe line or prick punch mark pretty closesly.
A full wiggler set has an attachment with a small disk ground at the
end, this functions just like a regular edge finder. Never have used any
of the other accessories in a wiggler set.
