Yep, yah got me. I always think .100 cause that is the number you add or
subtract. The working diameter is .200" !! I got one of those LED type units
but it has a .750 body diameter and a .400 inch ball probe. I use ER-16
collets (.393 max) on most operations so I'd have to change to a collet every
time I need it. I also work a lot of plastic and anodized aluminum. The LED
unit won't work on them. I even got a touch probe for my Mitutoyo KC DRO.
It's such a hassle to use, I used it twice. Can't beat those regular edge
finders.
