Thanks for the recommendation, Alan. I'm tempted to go with them,
especially since they include a new Z screw. Between the preload
bearing mounts, Philly Resins zero-backlash nuts (which I also
haven't tried yet), Alvaro's motor repositioning for better balance
and the counterbalancing springs, the Sherline should be a sweet
little machine.

I'm hoping to be able to do 3D surfaces on it, and not just pocketing
and contouring. I'm hoping that it is not going to be asking too
much... :-)
