I know, let's ask Dan (for bare boards)! Sorry I didn't think of you
first.

Your "3-Axis 2A Chopper Driver PCB" looks like an excellent starting
point for "home brew" drivers. It is rated: "Will run 4,6 or 8 wire
stepper motor 1 V to 18.V and rated current of .25 amps to 2 amps", any
possibility (with mods) that it could drive 24v .18a steppers? This
would allow step/direction use of the MAXNC low end "motion controller"
70 oz/in motors I already have, before I have to get "high performance"
motors.
