Doug,
You might try a regrigeration compressor! They fail all the time when
used as "poor man's compressors, BECAUSE they NEED liquid for
lubrication... It's easy to change the valves on many so that they
suck, instead of blow :-)
Also, are you using "jars" (like a 2 stage dust collector) on the
input/ output of your oil-less pump(s)? If so, increase their size.
If not, add 'em. While you still won't be able to pump liquid
THROUGH 'em, this should allow you to use them without failing
prematurely. Just a thought: I wonder if the Automatic drains for
compeassor systems would have application here? I don't know enough
about how they work to comment beyond asking the question...
