Hi, I bought BobCad about a little more than two years ago, and maybe
when ( or if? ) I ever finish my CNC XYZ homebuilt router I'll get to know
if it was worth the investment as the major design program / G code
generator.

My advice about BobCad is this . . . . watch for the special promotions,
but be careful! I was promised version 17 when it was released and got
version 16 as something to appease me until version 17 was released.
The price was great, $495.00, but when version 17 was released I
wondered when my promised copy would arrive. I called only to find
they thought I NEVER bought version 17. When I came back to them
with the promotion fax they sent me, I received my version 17.
The problem? Seems they don't even remember week to week what
their doing or offering. Had I not kept the fax and other copies of
our correspondence, I would have been essentially ripped off. So
final advice? Watch for promotions and specials but document
everything you do with them. I'm left with the impression they're not
much better than "Snake Oil" salesmen. That's not something
I wanted at all. I don't think you do either.
