Hello,
The fenner "trantorque" uses a smooth STRAIGHT bore in the pulley. It
is a collet-like device (er type), but unlike a collet, it expands
its' OD WHILE contracting its ID. OK, it is really like TWO collets;
one inside the other(like a 5c inside an ER. The nut on the 5c part
pulls it into the er). In this fashion it takes up the space between
the two parts, with high force and good concentricity.
The type I outlined making for yourself (earlier post) will work as
well; and are MUCH easier to make.
Hope this helps.
