Greetings,

I use Ashlar's Vellum Solids (which also includes a complete 3D CAD
system and is linked to the model). It is the easiest solids modeling
system to learn that I have encountered. Also, they were the first to
do the track ball thingy, and it runs very well on a 600mhz PIII, and I
had no problems with it on a 233mhz PII.

It is intended to design in solids and then move the design to the 3D
CAD system.

It is around $4000 and one of the few available for the Mac.
