For industry this is cheap. The software I'm using for a slight different
CNC application for pick and place and Chip shooters tend to start in the
$7500 to $10K range.

Now a note about service, usually when you buy a product the first year of
service is part of the price. After the first year then you have to fork
over the additional money. But I have found that it is a wise investment
as bugs are found and fixed plus other software formats change and you need
updated import filters to bring them in. Plus they always add one or two
things to make your life a little easier. Or they might have listened to
you and made some of the changes you need.
