There is a tremendous knowledge of linux just in this mailing list. There
are
a lot of places on the internet providing support(free). In my case, I was
able to get
drivers for my wierd video card that were'nt even in alpha test yet.

My last help session with Microsofts knowledgebase on the net: yes, we've
seen that before, and
if you call us, for $100 we'll give you a solution.

My last problem with linux (via email): I'm writing drivers for that,
here's a copy of the preliminary stuff.
Two weeks later, (unsolicited) heres the alpha, after that the beta. He
didn't send the release because
he didn't release it, but gave it to xfree to include in their next
distribution.

By the way, I'm in the habit of paying Red Hat, or Mcmillan for the CD so I
can get the installation support
if I need it, but I have seen a few installs over the internet. Very
smooth, very slow.
