Thank you for all the replies. The motor I need to run is a 3 H.P.
3 phase motor which is rated to draw 6.7 Amps at 440 VAC. The
transformer is a 10 KVA. I will be running a rotary phase converter
from 220 VAC, feeding that output to the transformer and that output
to the 3 phase 440 VAC motor.
I know this seems like a real roundabout way of doing things, but I
do not know of any other way to do this. Unfortunately the motor has
a special casting and cannot be replaced by a more conventional one.
If anyone has any other ideas, I would welcome them.
Thank you
