Oh? Apparently you didn't read all the posts either!

I suggested...several times...using drills...Drills can be easily altered to
drill flat bottom holes as well as altered to drill the hole for the screw
as well as the counterbore for the screw head. In fact, you can even BUY
stepped drills ground expressly for this purpose.

And..if you'll stop to think about it...counterbored holes ARE flat bottom
holes.

Can't use end mills in a drill press? Wrong again! I've done it many
times.
